World's Leading Airport Hotel for the second consecutive year!
9 November, 2009 - The votes are in for the World Travel Awards 2009 and Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport has been recognised in two major categories. We have been named Asia's Leading Airport Hotel and World's Leading Airport Hotel in this prestigious awards programme. The hotel also received the same honour in 2008, making this our second consecutive win!
The winners were officially revealed in a glittering red-carpet event; the ‘World Travel Awards 2009 World and Travel Technology Gala Ceremony’ that took place at the JW Grosvenor House Hotel in London on the evening of 8th November 2009. This prestigious event was graced by fellow senior industry figures, senior government representatives and the world's media. Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport was represented by Sheila Ainscough, Global Sales Manager from Pan Pacific Global Sales Office in the United Kingdom.
Described by the Wall Street Journal as the 'Oscars' of the travel industry, the World Travel Awards are highly coveted and sought after as these awards are believed to reflect true customer experience and perception of an organisation.
This year, the poll was the highest in World Travel Awards' 6-year history, with over 170,000 industry professionals casting their votes for what they consider to be the very best travel, tourism and hospitality products and services in various regions around the world and in the world.

Pan Pacific is exceptionally proud that Pan Pacific Singapore has also been honoured by the World Travel Awards 2009. Again, it is Pan Pacific Singapore's 4th consecutive win for Asia’s Leading Business Hotel and 3rd consecutive win for World’s Leading Business Hotel.

Pan Pacific Kuala Lumpur International Airport has also achieved a unique milestone in the competitive arena of recognition awards by being named as “Best Airport Hotel in Asia” by Business Asia magazine, making it the seventh time the hotel has won this accolade and was awarded early this year with The BrandLaureate 2008-2009 for Product Branding under the Airport Hotel category.
