Every Sunday night during winter see a spectacular display of ski and snowboard skill at the legendary Fire & Ice Show in Skiers Plaza. Whistler's best skiers and riders jump and flip through a blazing ring of fire accompanied by fire spinners, a DJ and fireworks display. An electrifying evening of free, live entertainment to watch with family and friends.

  • Performance Series: Robin Hood by DuffleBag Theatre
  • March 1, 2014
    Join Dufflebag Theatre, at Millennium Place, for a fun and interactive take on the classic tale of Robin Hood. The show follows the hero from his early days as an outlaw to leading the Merry Men in fighting the tyranny of Prince John and the Sheriff of Nottingham. Along the way Robin Hood gathers such trusted allies as Friar Tuck, Little John, and the lovely Maid Marion to rob from the rich and give to the poor. There is action galore, from quarterstaff duels to archery competitions, but the real excitement comes from the audience members who get to play a part joining DuffleBag Theatre onstage during the show.

The longest running Canadian Snowboard competition brings it back to Whistler Village this year with a Slopestyle event not to be missed. More information to come. Register in person prior to the event day at any Whistler Blackcomb Guest Relations or Ski & Snowboard School Sales locations.

  • BC Bobsleigh & Skeleton Provincial Championships

This four heat race over two days provides a competitive environment for BC Athletes to showcase their talents as they aim to impress recruiters for the Canadian National Team and ultimately be named BC Champion. Spectators are welcome to come and cheer on local BC athletes Saturday 12:30 PM to Sunday 2:00 PM as they develop their sliding skills at the Whistler Sliding Centre.

Come and cheer on local BC luge athletes at the Whistler Sliding Centre Saturday from 4:30 PM onwards and Sunday from 7:30 PM onwards.

Le Vent du Nord is a progressive folk band that captures the energy and mirth of a Saturday night kitchen party, infusing old Québec with a breath of fresh air. Since its founding in 2002, Le Vent du Nord have become compelling Francophone ambassadors, winning critical acclaim across Europe and North America. The quartet has performed over 1,000 concerts, racking up several prestigious awards, including two Junos, a Canadian Folk Music Award, and 'Artist of the Year' at the North American Folk Alliance Annual Gala. Performing at Millennium Place.

2014 marks TED’s 30th anniversary, and the theme for TEDActive 2014 is simply: “The Next Chapter.” TEDActive is about finding opportunities to awaken latent creativity and let you rediscover the joy of making something with your own hands. Attendees can sign up for workshops to learn to use tools or dig in and share skills by leading their own workshops. Think bike repair, hacking, sculpting in cardboard, 3D printing, homebrewing beer and more. Come to Whistler to be part of “The Next Chapter.”

An evening of popular classical music and film excerpts from internationally celebrated violinist Peter Krysa and distinguished pianist Scott Dunn - perfect for celebrating Oscar month. They will be joined by performers from the Vancouver Opera Orchestra to provide an unforgettable feast for the senses. Performing at Milennium Place.

Finish off the nordic skiing season in style with the 5th annual Whistler Olympic Park Loppet ... or Woppet! It starts and finishes at the Whistler Olympic Park daylodge wrapping up with a BBQ.

  • Ronald McDonald House BC Ski Challenge
  • March 31 to April 1, 2014

Corporate teams of four skiers will enjoy a full day of skiing and activities on Blackcomb Mountain for the annual Ronald McDonald House Charities Ski Challenge, raising money for children with serious illnesses, disabilities or chronic conditions and the families who support them.

Whistler Cup has grown to become the largest and most important ski race in North America, and internationally, for athletes aged 11 to 14 years. It is held under the auspice of FIS, the international governing body for alpine skiing, and with hundreds of young athletes from 23 countries participating, the Whistler Cup brings together children from many different cultures. This fun annual event is open to skiing and snowboarding mothers and grandmothers of all ages. The day includes coffee, race practice, a match-time race, lunch coupon (make your own reservations at Christine's if you like!) and après.
