Merica, pronounced mare-rich-e-ah, the Indonesian word for spice, particularly used for all types of the region’s favourite vegetable: the honourable and revered pepper.
Our signature restaurant, Merica is at the heart of our 103-hectare resort. This main gathering place offers a welcoming front bar, as well as private or casual dining settings, including cosy pavilions on our Koi ponds. At Merica, guests dine overlooking the Indian Ocean, the manicured gardens of the cliff lawn, award-winning Greg Norman golf course and the Bali’s iconic Tanah Lot temple. Chef Bradley Froehlich and his culinary members serve timeless Pan Asian and Pacific Rim cuisine popular in the region, with a Balinese contemporary flair.
Merica is also the centre stage for our bountiful breakfast buffet, served from 6:00 am to 10:00 am daily. Indulge in a regional selection of Asian and European breakfast specialties served with freshly squeezed local juices, herbal drinks and freshly made Javanese and Balinese mountain ground coffee.
Merica offers an inviting range of regional culinary favourites served in an à la carte for lunch and dinner. High ceilings and large doors opening out on to the terrace make this a cool place and inviting dining venue at all occasions.
