Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta Earth Hour 2011

Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta is pleased to have participated, along with one billion other people of the world, in support of Earth Hour 2011.

Earth Hour is an annual initiative of the global World Wildlife Fund (WWF) programme held every last Saturday of March. People around the world are urged to switch off all unnecessary lights and electrical appliances in their homes and offices for one hour to raise awareness of climate change.  WWF Australia and The Sydney Morning Herald started this campaign in 2007 and obtained global participation in 2008.

Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta turned off the lights in almost all parts of the hotel from 20.30 WIB until 21.30 WIB on Saturday, 26 March 2011.

Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta started off the programme by campaigning on the street to encourage people to participate actively in the Earth Hour 2011 program. The action took place at Jl. M.H Thamrin (Sarinah intersection) starting at 15.00 WIB by the Brand Champion Team. As ambassadors of the Sari Pan Pacific Jakarta, associates gave away stickers and candles for use during Earth Hour 2011.
