Peru: Kingdoms of the Sun and the Moon

SAM is honored to host a major exhibition of Peruvian art that includes rarely seen sculpture, metalwork, painting and textiles spanning 3,000 years. Visitors will be introduced to the rich heritage of ancient Peru, including superb works of the Mochica, Chimu and Inca cultures.
First Thursday Art Walk

First Thursday, in Seattle's historic Pioneer Square neighborhood, takes place from noon to 8PM on the First Thursday of every month. It is the city's first and largest Art Walk. After nearly three decades First Thursday has become a fixture for art-loving Seattleites.
Macy’s Holiday Parade & Star Lighting
The annual parade begins at Seventh Avenue and Pine Street; loops through downtown streets ending at Fourth Avenue and Pine Street. The parade features more than 25 floats, marching bands and drill teams and culminates with Santa’s arrival. The Macy’s Star will be lit for the holiday season that evening at 5 p.m.

Argosy Christmas Ship Festival

The Argosy Christmas Ship™ Festival is a holiday celebration that has been a Northwest tradition since 1949. From November 29-December 23 the Argosy Christmas Ship sails to more than 45 different Puget Sound waterfront communities. Live choirs onboard sing 20-minute performances, all broadcast to shore where thousands gather around roaring bonfires anticipating the ship's arrival.
